Voluntary disclosure agreement (VDA)
A voluntary disclosure agreement (VDA) is a contract between a seller and jurisdiction taxing authority, entered into when the seller comes forward prior to being contacted by a jurisdiction in order to pay past tax obligations in exchange for a reduction in penalties and capped lookback period. For information to determine if a VDA might be right for you refer to our VDA guide.
